Course Description

Smart Serve is the Government Certification required by law to sell or serve alcohol in Ontario. This program is designed for servers, bartenders, hostesses, food and beverage managers, or anyone who is involved in an event where alcohol is served.  

Servers, Bartenders, Hostesses and Food and Beverage Managers must be Smart Serve Certified by law in Ontario. The Smart Serve training program is designed to educate you about responsible alcohol service. This course covers topics such as: Types of licences, legal rights, responsibilities and liabilities, how alcohol works in the body, signs of intoxication, forms of identification, as well as prevention and intervention techniques. If you do not pass the first time you can retake the test at no extra charge.

Requires a minimum passing grade of 80%
